Need help w/ open element

hey guys
i in the process of replacing my air filter and have been looking at different open element filter and was just wondering if 5 1/8" neck flange would fit on my LO3

yes it will almost any standard one made for a 4bbl carb with a drop base will fit

only problem with drop base is that you may need to bend the ignition coil back a little.

I just did this. I got a non-drop based assembly like the tech article said and removed the collar that sits on top of the TBI. I tapped the air temp sensor to it and also pulled of fhe cowl cover. Sounds great. I used a peice of thick rubber to cover the whole distibutor and coil area, just incase it grounds or water seeps in it will be protected. I got my air cleaner from lopers for under $20.00.
