Truck TBI chip

Does anyone know if a truck TBI chip will work in a camaro TBI computer? I have a 90RS camaro with the stock computer and I wondered if I could get an aftermarket performance chip for a truck since I have a 350 now.

The computer (aka ecm) isn't the same calibration. There are 3 parts to the whole ECM. There is the actual motherboard, then there is the daughter board with 2 memory banks, the eprom and the rom. All C3 generation ecms share the same boards but have different roms and then there are different eproms on top of that. In stock form the rom contains all your calculations and alogorithms. The eprom contains the calibration tables, limits, thresholds, etc. The difference between the Truck 7747 and the passenger vehicle (f-body/caprice) 8746 is nothing physical. The 8746 and the 7747 don't share the same ROM, they're different enough to offset tables and do really weird stuff. You can swap eproms between the 8746 ecms. An example is swapping in an ANLU eprom for an ANTT. The ANLU is found in a 350 caprice auto, the ANTT is the f-body 305 calibration. I hope this makes sence. I guess you didn't get a simple answer. If that's what you're looking for then no, the eprom won't work. It will work if you manage to make the ecm romless and have all the code on the eprom! This is what is needed to do extensive calibration changes or 'source coding' the future of TBI .

So are you telling me that I can use a performance chip for a Caprice w/350 auto and that will work better for my car? I put a 350 in my RS and I want to keep the TBI. I still have the stock computer with an aftermarket chip in it but it still runs lean at cruising speeds. Truck out Caprice in?

Did you change to the 350 injectors (knock sensor and ESC module too) or trying to run 350 with 305 injectors?
