The L30 Vortec heads? I dont have personal expirence with them, but I've read they arnt like the normal L31 (62 cc chambers) heads and they kinda suck. Go with the L31s and get them milled, throw them in with an LT1 cam and you'll be motoring

I dont think that you really need to worry about the compression that much. Stock LO3s are 9.3:1 correct. Even with the bigger combustion chamber you should be around 9:1 which would work just fine beeing they are more efficient than the stockers. Just my 2 cents.

I wouldn't worry about trying to get a set of 305 ones when the 350 ones milled will make more power than them because of worked-in power producing characteristics. The L31's (350 version) make more power and are easier to get ahold of. I don't see why you would go otherwise.
