Went to track 15.8, a little better

I went to Firebird again, this time armed with my Jet stage II chip and a little more heat in the tires and got this:

60': 2.273
E/T: 15.852
MPH: 86.87

I also hit a 2.25 60' time, but my E/T was a 15.941. This is down from:

60': 2.356
E/T: 15.962
MPH: 88.12

I'm going to run without the Jet Chip next time to see if the gain is actually from it or not. I didn't hit 88 mph this time at all so, I'm not sure what is up. My ALDL isn't working exactly correct right now so I can't really tune too much right now, but I'll get it fixed and try again .

This TBI will go fast some day

nice times, headers and those 3.42 should get you into the low 15s. I also had the same experiences, whenever i got real good traction, my ET was actually lower on those runs. I think alittle slipping is good because it gets your RPMs up alittle faster. I think next time i go to the traction im going to launch at about 1000RPMs because i am not having any traction problems.

I launch around 3000 rpm with minimal slip. The Nittos hook really well and practically no wheel hop now. I think the clutch is slipping though a little bit. I also may have short shifted second. There's room for improvement

with those gears and posi i think you will be pulling way better 60' times, which leads to better 1/4 times...

You guys get good damn mph's outa those mods. I could only muster an 84 with a catback, open element, and cat at Norwalk, so it wasnt the track. Car was in good tune. Lucky bastards

We just found out that the base timing was retarded 2*. We bumped it up to 5* of advance and it pulls better in my opinion. So I have high expectations for next time I go to the track. (High expectations in terms of an L03 I suppose )

Oh if your timing had play in it then I think definitley you pull a better average et/mph next time around.
