what crate motor
i am looking at geting a new motor for my truck. the one in it has 211,000 on it and is is starting to realy suck down fuel and use oil. i would like to be able to throw the new motor in and roll not have to burn chips and such as i do not have the skillz or the time to lern the motor needs to be able to be swaped in, in one week end so i can get to work on monday. what would be a good choice i was looking at the goodwrench but it would realy suck if i did all this work then the thing was more of a dog after the swap. so what do you guys think i should get. i have a lo5 with a holley tbi in it now.

If you dont want to touch it and youy jsut want to put the motor in and be done with it, id just go get another crate LO5. Its the same motor that you already have and it wont require any tuning. Pretty much any other combo that makes something resembling power will require some tuning and probably a chip. Stay away from the "goodwrench 350", which is waht i assume your referrring to. Not only does it make less power then the LO5, have a flat tappet cam, and leak oil like a seive, but youll need to get some more parts to accomodate the older crank and head style.
