I have a TBI 4.3 and would like to use the TBI on a 305 what part can be used to TBI the 305 may next question is
I would like to carb the 4.3 what part from a 2.8 or the 305 can be used to carb the 4.3

 

the tbi can go righ on your 305, not 100 percent sure but youll need diferent injectors if you plan to use the tbi... its the same as the one on the 305/350's. As for a carb for the 4.3, just go get a small 4 barrel or a two barrel. After all, the 262 is a 350 - 2 cyl.

 

Is the distributor from the 4.3 TBI usable on the 305 ? and visa versa? and is the 2.8 part usable on the 4.3?

 

The distributor will fit the motor but the pickup in the distributor needs to be changed.If the they are both small caps with remote coils you do not have to change anything in either motor use what came in each. Nothing from the 2.8 will fit either the 305 or 4.3.You will need injectors as the 4.3 injector are smaller than what came on the 305.

 

This question is alittle of the currect topic but do you know if a 89? Caddy 4100 TBI unit work as well on a 305?
