2 newbie questions
Can someone tell me what a head is? Also what is a posi? I'm still learning about engines and I know the posi has something to do with rears... Thanks

Posi = Positraction. It's the name GM gave their LSD (Limited Slip Differential) Basically one wheel (usually the RR is the first) gets all the power until it starts to spin. Then the clutches start to engage and power it sent to both wheels.
A head is a cylinder head. It (or they) sit on top of the engine block, hence the name "head".

the cylinder head holds the valves that let in fuel and air into the cylinder, and release the spent gasses out of it into the exhaust
