Cam/intake swap

I was planning on installing a nitrous setup, but after a little research, I think i'm now leaning towards trying to achieve some true horsepower. With that, i want to do a cam an intake swap. If i understand correctly, the intake to go with is the performer rpm. Where i get a little confused is w/ cams. While i know that most of the people on this board are running the LT-1 cams, i wanted to know exactly what type we have i.e. : hydraulic roller, flat tappet, etc, so that i can do my own research and find out what else is out there that may be slightly more aggressive in nature. Below is the link that inspired me to want to do this swap over nitrous. If you get a chance, check it out, and let me know if the cam mentioned will work w/ my 91 Camaro 305 TBI L03 motor. thanks guys.

teh xe262 is a ncie cam and woudl work well in an LO3 once teh chip is tuned in. i woudl go to teh next step up prolly and run the xe268 though. it will supply a little broader power curve and has a meaner sounding idle
try to use a hydraulic roller cam. it is what teh stock set up has so you may as well take advantage of it. it will provide a little bit more vacuum and save you a few extrra ponies from reduced friction.

Also you need to take into account your buget, a cam/head/intake swap is not a cheap set of mods.

If I could do it all over again I would have gone with a set of ported TPI heads, the holley hanifold, and a cam some where around 212/218 @.05 and a 112 lsa. The stock TBI with ultimate TBI mods and some lager injectors.
