cam install questions
cam install questions
I just recieved my performer intake and crane compu cam today from jegs and thunderracing. after reading the install instructions, i have a few questions as to what all i will need. First, i know for certain that i need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Does it matter what i go with? Secondly, it states that I need new lifters. I very well could be mistake, but can't i re-use the old ones since its a hydraulic roller cam? Lastly, i know i need gaskets for just about everything, but is there anything else i'm gonna need. thanks in advance guys.

Yes you can reuse your old lifters IF they're in good shape.
Did you get a new timing chain set? If not you can get a Dynagear replacement at AutoZone.
Besides that and the gaskets, you're good to go.
If you read the tech article, you can make your FPR adjustable.

And it wouldn't hurt to do the ultimate TB mods, if you haven't already.

Next step would be learning how to program and burn your own chips.
