Ok, a friend of mine found a red 91 RS for sale for $2900. It looks good enough, needs some touch up work to the paint but nothing big. It has some rust on the section between the t-tops but it doesn't leak. Also the Speedo doesn't work at all, the tach doesn't work right and the electric hatch doesn't work. It can be opened just not with the button. He thinks he can get he guy down to $2400-$2500 or so. Would the gauge be hard to fix? Would it be worth the trouble?

 

no shouldn't be a problem its probably the (vss) speed sensor

 

 

vss - vehicle speed sensor its a maget part in the transmission that tell the speeometer how fast the car is moving and also tells the ecm the speed

 

$2900 seems steep for one in that condition. Maybe $1900.
