305tbi to 350tbi

this weekend im swaping my stock 305tbi to a 350 out of a 92 350 out of a 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup. my questions to you experterts are should i have any problems with the 350 tbi while still running the 305 emc? or should i run the 305 tbi and just put the 350 injectors in it?

The injectors are the only real difference in the 2 TBI units. Use the 350 injectors and buy a new 350 knock sensor and ESC module. Don't over torque the knock sensor when installing. Only 14-15 ft/lbs. The ECM will run the 350 on the 305 chip just not 100%. The proper injectors and sensors are more important.

The TBI on the 305 and 350 are the same unit except for the injectors. As long as you use the larger injectors, it doesnt matter which body they're in (seems easier to me to just mount the 350 TBI then put new injectors in the 305 unit). But you definately should use the bigger injectors, along with the 350 knock sensor and module. As far as your PROM goes, I'm no chip expert, but I think it'll be ok. Not optimum, I guess, but certainly liveable.

when u pull the motor look on the pass side of the block there will be what looks to be a big plug or nipple, it will be right above the oil pan that is your knock sensor if im not mistake....i think it only has one wire comming from it which u will have to disconnect before pulling...good luck!
