Power adder huh more like lost power
Okay i bought a inch spacer on ebay and i fixed the cable problems but now the car has no bottom end power the car will barley even do a burn out at first.??????
But then i take it off and mount the tbi back the way it should and i get my bottom end power back.
could it be if the spacer isnt perfectly lined up straight with the manifold holes its only off by like 3-4 mm and i can see the gaaskets when i open the butterflys some parts they just barley stick out more than the spacer.
ive got a 1989 firebird 305 tbi. with 115,xxx miles

i would clean up those gaskets for sure, any thing that distrupts airflow, hurts power. you want the smoothest straight shot you can get for the air.
