I got her running finnaly
Well shes been running for 2 weeks now but I finnaly got to take her for a test drive. After I bought a painless wiring harness the wiring seemed like the easiest part of adding EFI. The tbi 454 puts out awesome power as ar as I can tell. Wont know for sure till my chrome tv cable braket shows up. Right now she jumps into 2nd gear as soon as shes rolling. I was worried about installing a junk yard motor but the oil pressur is good, she idles smooth, and the check engine light is not on. Thanks for all your help.

I wouldn't run the car very much with a bad TV cable, you can seriously damage the tranny, esp if you are running a high HP combination. But the motor on the other hand, that thing should be awesome fun to drive once you get that cable installed. :hail:

lets let him answer that.. about what engine but i have never seen a 305 hooked up to a th400.....
My question is how much you pay for the engine at the yard? If we already have tbi hooked up is the tbi harness different between the 454 and 305... So many ideas now...

It is actually a 454 not just the TB.
Now that would be funny. Unfortunatly this isnt in a third gen
That would be way too awesome. Its in a k5, but it smokes the tires like its in a 3rd gen
. The engine was $1100 complete with harness, computer, all accesories and and all that crap. The wiring harness was in bad shape and my electrical skills leave some to be desired so I ended up buying a after market harness. I think a 305 harness would work but many wires would need to be lengthened/shortened cause none of the sensors are in the same spot.
