tbi stick and wont idle back down
heres the deal, i have a 305 tbi, the damn thing wont idle down unless i turn the throttle linkage bracket that attachs to the butterflies. then i it idle just fine. although it seems to stick there after i turn the throttle bracket. and pop when i accelorated the engine. i remove the throttle cable and cruise control cable to see if one of them what doing it. by the way its a 5 speed manual. which the cable were not it. any help in this matter would be nice. I'm thinking a rebuild kit will fix it hopefully

mine does teh same thing. The damn throttle shaft/aluminum around the shaft wears down and the throttle shaft sticks. Try to remove and clean the shaft, that might help. I suppose you coudl try to do some machining and install brass bushings to take up the extra clearence. Ive heard of someone using ball bearings but id be afraid of the gas washing away all the grease in the bearing cartrage.
