Well shes torn apart.
I finally got a chance to start on my LO3 this weekend. I can now install these parts that I have had sitting around. I actually pulled the engine to insatll my cam and heads cuz I thought it would be a little easier and plus I could clean my engine up a little. Boy was that a major PITA. I would love to pimp slap the guy that came up w/ the idea to bolt those ground straps on the back of the cyl. heads.. You can barely see em let alone reach them, but I finnaly got it out. I was surprised to see that the motor still had alot of crosshatch in the cyl and no ridge, even w/ 200,000 miles. I included a pic.

hell yeah keep posting pics of the progress... that block looked like mine after I took the heads off to chang the head gasket...
only difference is that i had about 3 quarts coolant in my oil pan lol

Getting the lifters out were pretty easy to my surprise. I just had to rotate them as I pulled them out very straight. I'll post some more pics in a little while.
