gears from doner car...?

From which doner car can I get a posi and 3.42 gears? From a 4th gen. Camaro maybe?

It's for a 1989 LO3 w/ 5-spd.

i think that he wants the posi too.

the 4th gen rear will fit, but i've heard that its not much stronger than ours. plus i think it is slightly longer

yes a 4th gen rear is about 4" wider that a 3rdgen, so your wheels won't sit right.

v6's typicly have 3.42s then you can pick up a posi for it, you would be better off going that route, the OEM auburn units typicaly are shot if you find a 3.42 posi anyway.
