Good inexpensive scan tool found
I have an 87 Buick Grand National and one of the tools I use is called a Scan Master that I purchased from Ram Chargers. I tried it because I know Turbo Link and Direct Scan (also Turbo Buick scanning software packages) also work with the 92 and earlier TBI electronics. This is definitely a very helpful little device about the size of a pack of cigarettes with a highly visible red LED display. I mount mine on top of the dash so I can see what is going on while I am driving.
I am now able to monitor the correct O2 counts and degrees of KR. It has a latching mechanism that holds the lowest O2 reading and the degrees of KR on a full throttle run.
It also displays Itegrator numbers as well as BLM's. I have also found that the vss, rpms, iac counts and tps voltages also function well.
The only 2 things that didnt function were the battery voltage and the coolant temp sensor readings.
All else matches the Snap On scanner to the tee!
