TBI Nitrous questions

I recently purchased a N02 kit for my 305 TBI and wanted to ask some TBI guys running spray about their setups. It seems like from who i've talked to thus far, i'm best off running a 100 hp shot. I know i need to upgrade my ignition. What's everyone running? Secondly, How many degrees should i retard the ignition for such a shot (6-8?) Third, how much fuel pressure do i need? Anything else you guys can add would be great. RPM on off, etc. Thanks

Donnie

hey yo, not runnin NO2 on the 'maro, but i had it on my 71 nova back in the day (three years ago) so i have a little imput...1.) with a TBI i really wouldn't push past the 125hp mark without some beefing up in the bottom end (100hp sounds fine enough). 2.) YES, ungrade the ignition, i'n not sure i can stress this enough! and when you get new plugs, make sure you get ones with a thin ground strap on them. that will help to keep the detonation down too. personally, i'm a MSD guy, but i've also heard good things about Crain and even Jacobs. 3.)a good rule of thumb is 2-3 degrees of retard for each 50hp you're runnin'. 4.) as for the fuel pressure issue, i ran a seperate/independent system for the fuel selinoid. that should get you a little ways.
