Question about 91 Camaro RS

I'm planning to buy a 1991 Camaro RS 305 TBI, and I'm wondering if ALL 91 maro RS's have Governors or not? I can't get ahold of the dealship til monday. I can remove it with no problem but I can't find anything saying whether or not the Governor will be on my new car. Thanks in advance.

Yeah it most likely will. 305 TBI's are governed at 108 mph. You can splice in a switch to bypass it momentarily or get an aftermarket chip or custom chip.

have you had it 120? or has your speedo read 120 or 130?

most speedos are very inacurate at high speeds, the ECU will look at the VSS signal and cut it off at 112.

Not all were limited to 112, some set at 108, just depends on the year and options.

I only did it a few times, no need for driving that fast, but my speedo pegged after the 115 mark and going by how far the tach climbed I figured I was going 125-130, I think I remember it going to about 3200 RPM in 5th gear, it turned 1500 @ 60 mph, that's 25 RPM per MPH so 3200/25=128 MPH, this was after a few mods like headers and bumped timing, but I did nothing to the puter.
