Fuel pressure testing.
Fuel pressure testing.
ok , fuel pressure was 12 psi on the dot. is it supposed to remain the same throughout the entire rpm range? i taped the guage to my windsheild and drove a bit with it on there --looking like a fool-- and it never dropped or went up.
the pressure test guage i have is in line, and has a pressure bleed off valve, i pressed the button, reved the engine, ....12
i hear it was supposed to shoot up to like 55 lbs?
i put the test guage on the line near the alt to avoid clearane issues with the line going ito the tbi itself. didnt think it woul matter where it was, correct me if im wrong.
this all sound correct?

You're good to go. It's doing exactly what it should. Somebody told you wrong about the 55psi.....TBI pump can put out around 18psi tops. Only time to worry is if the FP falls off under load.
BTW, join the club
I've did the same thing as far as taping it to the windshield, but it's the only way to tell what your fp is doing under load.
