my car has a 305 in it that is clocked at 193 000km. The timing is at a little over 10 advanced. I can hear a constant ticking sound but i dont know how loud it has to be to be a knock. I dont want to blow my pistons.please help.

 

Try running a higher octane fuel , thats the only thing I can think of if your timing is over10 degrees ,maybe its detonation.Or maybe try to retard your timing a little
