TBI EGR - Random Code 32 Action!

Hey guys - I'm finally getting some miles on my car and now this little quirk is showing up, please throw me a line if you can shed any light on it.

Two days ago on the way home from church, chugging along in 5th doing like 1700 rpm I got a code 32 (EGR) so I pulled my EGR off, cleaned it as the Haynes manual says (smack it w/a hammer and work the diaphram) and reinstalled it. Took it to a car show the next day (50 mile drive using overdrive some) and had no problem. Tonight on the way home from church again, I get the same code. What gives??? lol

I read that with an aftermarket exhaust (like I have) the EGR sometimes will trip a code b/c of insufficient back-pressure - so i guess that could be possible. But I can't see any real malfunction in the system otherwise though. It only seems to get upset when I'm just cruising at real low RPM - I'm going to leave the EGR alone and drive it tomorrow and see if it reappears just driving around town. Any ideas?

Ty

Me too! But ya know, I just don't worry about it because it doesn't affect the way it runs so I ignor it!

This is comon with exhaust mods. It doesn't hurt to run it that way, and it only shows up in closed loop. two choices
1 learn to ignore it
2 dissable the egr in the chip
