dont know where to start

ok heres the scoop. Ive got a 92 camaro RS with the Lo3 305 and T5 tranny. I want to put a 350 in it, and am hoping for around 300-350hp NA. I will be staying with the tbi, but have never done anything this extensive to my car and just want some opinions on what i can do with about 3000 for engine, and another 2000 for tranny rebuild, and rear end along with whatever else ill need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Josh

Buy a GMPP 350 HO , its only a long block , but if you buy a performer manifold , a holley 670 TB, and some headers they say youll have 330 hp or something like that, go to www.sdpc2000.com and look around there. It costs $2200 for the long block. If not get a vortec 350, and do the same mods to it. Find a place that remanufactures engines and you should be able to find one for like $1000.Also youll have to change your chip and knock sensor and esc for the swap to work right.Good luck

what is the esc. Ive also looked at the GM350HO and The Vortec, since neither of them have emissions controls and i dont need to worry about them could i just bypass it in a chip or would i need to get a computer that doesnt rum emissions.
Thanks

Definitely go with the 350 HO...but you'd better swap from a T5 to a T56 6-speed 'cause that motor's 380 ft-lb ofr torque would tear the T5 to pieces . I'm actually doing this exact swap on exactly the same car that you have right now. It's taking forever because I just haven't been able to spend a lot of time on it, but it's almost done. Check out the web site in my sig for more info...my web site hasn't been updated for several days, though. I'll try to get all the pics up this weekend.

that is a 4 bolt 350 that is vin K for $1084 plus $300 core.

http://chevy-350-engines.com/chevy-engine-245.html#spec
roller cam, 2-bolt main, tbi, vin code 7 for $1102 plus $225 core.

note that they are remanufactured long blocks, so it depends on if you want to save some cash and get a remanufactured engine or get a new one. bolt on some perf. parts and you'll end up with nearly the same hp and torque if not more. and def go with the T-56 *drool* im going to put one of those in mine eventually too. good luck.
