TBI to carb, ideas
i'm getting sick of my engine struggling to breathe and not moving as fast as it should. if i wanted to switch to carb from TBI... (which probably won't happen, but if i wanted to..) i'm curious as to if the computer can still control the transmission? (4L60E) might have to go with a standalone comp for the trans. also all the gages and anything else computer controlled would probably be screwed up. its a '93... hm.. probably have to mess with the fuel system as well switching from EFI.
sounds like a lot of work to me... it would only be my last resort if this 454 TB conversion doesn't cut it. seems like the TB is always whats holding me back... spacers, cones, and other over-priced exspensive nick-nacks from turbo city claiming to let in "20% more air flow!!!" haven't done sh*t for me, wasn't even noticeable.
anybody tried to convert an EFI vehicle back to ol' carb? (just because they want the raw power vs. driveability)
now i'm not bashing TBI don't get me wrong, its an awesome EFI sysem to work with... but it just isn't delivering for me.. i guess we'll see what happens when my project is done, shouldn't speak so soon quite yet.

If a 454TB can run this baby then i'm a solid believer.
