Does any of you have any experience of potting a 454tbi on a edelbroc performer intake for stock tbi,I have seen that you can get a adapter plate to make that fit,or would that combo be suffering the airflow.
Maybee I chould take the intake off and drill it out to 2" rigth away what do you think?

And have any of you modify the early tbi whith that old TPS to the new tbi from 91-,if so please let me now how you did.

 

You can't bore the edelbrock intake out to 2 inches because you will hit a water jacket. The best thing to do would be to buy a carb intake and put an adaptor plate on top with 2 inch bores.

hey guys i've been doing the 454 converson on my 350. finally got her to fire up after screwing with the timing.. disconnected the computer wire and she seemed to idle OK. pluged it back in and it idled like crap 400-500rpm... then it seemed like the computer tried to correct and the idle jumped to 1000..1200.. 1300.. gradually kept going up till i killed the motor. what the heck is going on?

another thing... i've got an oil-like substance sprinking out my exhaust. vaccume leak or what?

damn i hope i didn't create a pile of junk...

 

Forgot to mention, you could also get the holley tbi intake with the 2 inch bores already.
