TBI Upgrade: 305ci V8 to 350ci V8
TBI Upgrade: 305ci V8 to 350ci V8
well, here is the scenario. i have a 88' formula and am looking to upgrade the aged 305ci V8 with a 350ci V8 that i intend on rebuilding. my question is first: what size throttle body should i look into purchasing for a 350? i have looked around ebay and have seen a couple of 650cfm (?) units. i have also heard that some people use the throttle body out of full-sized GM trucks as substitues for the smaller throttle bodies.
my second question is a little bit different, and i am not quite sure if it fits in this category but it beats having to check to divisions, so here it goes. my second question is will i actually need to change out the cpu with the throttle body due to the greater fuel intake?

#2) If you perform an engine change, you should plan on re-programming your chip.
