Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Pics of Earls AUTO-FLEX hose and fittings for TBI fuel lines.
I used the stock fittings that go into the TBI and then bought "Earls" adapters, fittings and hose to suit. Following are Summit part#'s I used. Please check Earls website before placing any orders to ensure you're getting the right stuff.
Also, I can't stress enough: This is a pressurized system carrying gasoline. After installation, pressurize the system to check for leaks. When starting the vehicle for the first time, please HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER READY. It's cheap insurance.
2 of EAR 991954 (-6 to 14 mm (on TBI) adapter)
2 of EAR 991955 (-6 to 16mm (on TBI) adapter)
1 EAR-809106 (-6 90* coupler: TBI drivers side)
1 EAR-812006 (-6 120* coupler: TBI pass. side)
2 EAR-303006 (3' lengths of -6 AUTO FLEX hose)
2 EAR-AT800106 (Ano-Tuff Swivel Seal)
Adapter/Fitting/Hose Sequence used (starting at TBI)

Other end of system
This is a shot of where the stock supply/return lines meet the SS braided stuff. Ano-Tuff swivel fittings are the black ones- they were needed to properly install the setup.

I Just purchased the "kit", and saw you had the above two P/N's transposed
not that it makes much difference, but thought id call it out.

Thanks,
I changed the info in the first post to correct the transposition. I can see getting those two swapped.
Glad the thread helped-

Dane- I incoroporated your info on the 120* passenger side fitting into the thread also- Thanks!

Is it just me or is there a line running from the coolant passage on the intake to the AIR tubes on the left side headers in that first pic?

Its just you. !
The Vortec-TBI intake has an external EGR. That is what that is all about.
I was supposed to write a tech ariticle on that, but being that I'm lazy, never got around to it!

It works well, I've put on about 3500 miles and only gotten a EGR code once.

Thought I would post some remarks for those using the Edelbrock TBI w/EGR manifold.
If you have the Edelbrock TBI manifold with EGR the passenger side fitting can be a pain. Edelbrocks' design reloactes the CTS behind the throttle body, right where you want to route the return line. In addition, the EGR valve gets in the way of positioning the swivel-adapter, as does the IAC.
A little finessing on the elbow with a shop vise and everything buttoned up rather nicely.

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Just spoke with a tech at www.anplumbing.com They are the #1 seller of Earl's plumbing, etc. He stated never use Auto Flex hose as standard gasoline with it's 10% alcohol and other components will eat away at the rubber lines inside the Auto Flex hose causing vapor leakage and eventually a loss in integrity of the hose. He said the Auto Flex is good for about 1 year only.
He recommended the Speed Flex hose as it has a lifetime warranty and will never deteriorate.
Just a thought for everyone.
I will be posting my fuel line project in the next few weeks. I am re-routing my lines. I will be adapting to the factory lines from the tank that are mounted on the driver's side fender under the hood. I will run the lines back under the break boost, behind the washer pump along the firewall then directly on either side of the distributor and directly into the back of the TBI unit.
Any ideas? Anyone done this yet? I have all the parts, but waiting on new manifold to be bored, etc.

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Whats the item number for the driver side fuel adapter that goes into the throttle body? I think its the one the fuel goes in through. I still have the stock one just cut and clamped onto the fuel line, looks ugly and I would like to get the proper fitting.
Is it EAR-809106?
And also nice setup!

Great Post! I am just about ready to drop my motor in and this will help greatly to get the fuel lines correct.

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
www.anplumbing.com The best price for Earl's Plumbing that I have found yet. These guys are great and very helpful. Lots of "how to" videos as well.
991955 16mm male to -6 AN male Driver's Side (Inlet)
991954 14mm male to -6 AN male Passenger's Side (outlet)
Always use stainless or aluminum fittings. Remember to use Speed Flex hose only as it has teflon insert and NOT rubber.

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Tim... The part number you are asking about depends on how you want to route out of the back of the TBI unit. If you want to route it back along the manifold to behind the alternator, etc.
What's your plan?
----------
Yes 809106 is the swivel seal hose connector that you will need along with the adaptor.

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Im not using the charcoal canister. The way its routed now is that the 2 line to the top right of the picture that I posted go to the fuel tank. And then where the 2 lines go off the bottom of the picture they go to my fuel pressure regulator. Im not exactly sure where ill put the regulator after I put my supercharger on, probably on the side of the supercharger [about where the throttle body is now]

Re: Earls Braided SS Fuel Lines
Ill just go with the angled one because the supercharger puts the throttle body further back and at an angle, so I dont want to have the straight one give me any problems with clearance.
But thanks for the help!
