head question
ok heres the deal, i have a set of 84 ho heads to put on my 91 305 tbi, i know all the things i gotta do to make this work, and they were free, so no posts on the common "just get vortech heads" please, question is that since i am doing this swap with the engine in the car, and just a few more days to do it in, but i have a big dilemma, damn exhaust manifolds, thier unbolted and everything, but cant get them outa the way to unbolt the bottom bolts of the head, has anyone done this without completly removing the manifolds, that would eat up another full day of a job ive lost way too much time on as it is, do you think that by unhooking the cat, that would give me enough play with the manifolds to move them around just enough? I just put the new cat on there a few weeks ago so this would be the easiest route.

Honestly, get a set of headers. It will give you another reason to remove the manifolds. Most headers require you to tilt the engine if you have the heads on, so it would really save you time and hastle now. Pull the heads, place the headers in position, and install the ho heads.
