injectors wont idle... help?

my car was sitting for a month (damn VATS problem).. anyways i go to fire her up yesterday and from inside the car (air filter off) i can see the injectors only spraying when i hit the gas... they wont spray at idle... causing the car to stall out and die..

the car has new:

TPS
IAC
throttle body
Fuel filter
new injectors from Turbo city

my car is gave code "53" before all this happened, causing my VATS to act up.. is there anything else code 53 will cause to go bad?

anyone that can help me... would rule

You stil have a VATS problem. To double check disconnect battery to clear codes and try again to start it and then scan. If code 53 comes up the ECM isn't seeing the VATS signal.

ok what i did was this... i found the pale yellow and green wires that run into the relay by the driver side kick panel.. i was told to just take those.. and connect them together to disable the vats. i did.. and thats what allowed me to get the car turning..

so i disconnected the battery (negative and positive) i even went as far as to completely disconnect the ECM... left everything disconnected for 5min.. reconnected everything.. and still the same problem.. and im still pulling code 53.. "system over voltage" as per my Haynes manual.

is my ECM trashed?

what started this all... is that i forgot to disconnect the battery from then car when i put it on a trickle charge. i left it on all night, came to start it the next day and nothing.. so.. im lost.. ive done everything i can.

anything else i can try???

The Haynes manual is incorrect on the error code. The ECM is not getting the VATS signal (53 is VATS malfunction). You need to fix the VATS problem: dirty key, broken ign lock cyl wires (common), bad VATS module. . . Or, swap to a '8063 ECM (earlier f-body TBI) or disable VATS in the ECM.

Sounds like the easiest route is to disable the whole thing all together..ok so how do i got about disabling the Vats in the ECM? i think that VATS thing is a crap idea in the 1st place...

Its just an option in the chip, easily selectible, but it requires the chip to be reburnt.

your going to have to find someone who canburn you a new chip, whether its someone on this board, or one of those chip sites onthe internet.

Me I would buy the chip burner $140 and do it myself. Go to the prom board for more info.
