I see too many people getting aggressive towards each other taking up space in other people threads. if you got something to say. say it here and stop clogging the forum with your senseless babblings of rage. bring them here and be more considerate. If thirdgen.org wants to live in a fantasy world where people never get mad, and lock forums like this. then so be it. I won't be back . I'm tired of people arguing. This isn't a tech site. this is a, site of repremand. Everytime I see someone accomplish something, some smart a-55 has to open his pie hole and tell him he either did it wrong or he didn't do it at all. so if you want to report this thread to a moderator and live in that fantasy go ahead. if it disappears so will I. I'm not making threats, I'm not asking for friends or for anyone to miss me when and if I leave. I'm just saying. lately the people on this site have been giving me a headache. I got JR. members telling me where to shove stuff. I don't need this crap. I got enough on my plate. this is a vent chat. Alot of sites have them. If TGO wants to lock it, they can ban me too cause I won't be back anyway. I guess I can understand the whole sensorship thing they got going here...I guess but, if they can't even let us vent out our differences. they expect us to be robots. People fight. that's the way it is. I fight. you fight. Even they fight.

btw there are people out there that haven't seen that word thing yet.

 

So instead of having a thread like this, maybe you or we or all of us should petition for a "lounge" section? That seems that it would take care of your complaint and be the answer to what I've noticed is needed on this website.

Just a thought.

This thread probably won't even last. Everyone needs to chill out a little. I put this thread here because I was trying to talk cars in another thread and people started calling other people out. I'm sick of it. This is supposed to be a tech site and people are bragging about what they're doing and others are hopping on the band wagon and still more people are calling everyone out saying, "how?" and "there's noway that could be done." and "that's BS"... Maybe I'm the biggest dork in the world but,... that doesn't sound technical. You got a better idea? let's hear it. I'm always open to new suggestions. I can take constructive criticism.

But you see what you did brody? You didn't come here to DO what the thread is supposed to, which is to allow people to debate with intelligence. If you read it, you'll see that it says I don't want people cursing eachother out. You came in here to criticize the thread itself. you are one of those antagonists that calls people out. That's how trouble starts. That's why things like this happen. report it to a moderator. let them review on what's been said and if the thread doesn't get locked then it's not breaking anything. If it does, then it does.

The first ammendment allows freedom of speech. I am merely providing a spot for people to do that. To come to a spot where people, when heated, can come to explain their point of view. you watch how many people will argue through the first few posts and how these differences will eventually be resolved and they'll walk away shaking hands. I betcha I'm right on this one.

And if this thread is breaking rules well, then I apologize. I'm trying to give you all a tool and everyone wants to break it already.

Do you see what I'm doing? how I'm phrasing things here? This is how I would like everyone to use this thread. No f words or insults. Intelligent debate IS what this IS.

 

THIS is a waste of server space. This is not America, this is not protected under any federal legislature, this is not a "lounge" area or a hang out, this is technical. Got a question, here's an answer, bad answer, good answer, you're wrong and this is why, thanks!, and the such.
Consider this locked but also understand that arguing is part of getting the facts, nobody knows everything but people will think they know something when in fact they're wrong. Deal with it, it's life, it's how people (mostly engineers) communicate with the rest of the world. If everybody was an engineer we wouldn't have posts full of text, it would be graphs of data with captions and a conclusion .

Actually, arguing is not the correct term. The more encompassing term conflict would be a better descriptor... Unfortunately, people often view both with negative connotations. This is sad because Jon is correct, innovation cannot happen without conflict and resolution which can only occur with open communication between 2 or more parties arguing different sides.

These boards are what is called a symposium. It is an open discussion which welcomes communication from all sides. Successful conflict usually leads to collaboration, (what usually happens here on the boards), where most parties work together towards a common goal without barriers to communication.

If you have a gripe and just want people to hear you out, this is not the place, sorry. A group (our site) must have a common goal to be called a group, if your goal here is to complain, it is not common. Our goal is technical help for people who need it. If this is not your goal and you would like to be heard, you should speak with one person, not an entire community. Think of it as you would your job. There is a chain of command, and if you mention something to all of your coworkers, and then your boss hears of it, he/she will not be happy. More will be accomplished going directly to them.
