mine cost me about $8 all radio shack parts. if you can solder at all, you can make your own cable easily.

I already did the radio shack thing and in order for me to make it correctly I'de need a different soldering gun, as the one I have is way too big for the application. Besides I can't solder worth a crap anways and after 5 tries to make the cable and failing I think I'll just buy one. So is this cable good for our cars or not?

thats total overkill for your application if your only going to use it for the tbi car. If you dont mind spending the money it should work for what you want. What kind of soldering iron do you have? Investing in a $15 soldering pen is a good investment. I always keep one on hand in my tool box. If you build the hardware into a project case it can be easier to solder because the components are more spaced out. I sold my last winaldl cable for 10 dollars or so after i built the interface into my dashboard. Ive seen others sell the basic cable for the same price. If you pm some people or put out an ad in the classifieds, im sure you could find a reputible member willing to build one for less then what he is charging. Its a real nice piece, but its a bit costly for what you want. If you dont mind paying the cost, it should work at least with the software listed and i would assume winaldl as well, but im not %100 sure.

Hi,
The colored wires do not have an connector on it...you have to stick the probes into the socket on your car. A bit hard to drive that way I think.
