305 CFI has poor acc. from a stop untill it his 1500 to 2000rpm. 350 heads and intake 2030 crane cam. any ideas on how to impove this little problem?

 

It may be a number of things. You may have lost compression if you did not have the 350 heads milled. Also, I'm not sure of the cam specs, but more than likely the powerband is moved up over stock, which in turn leads to loss of some low end power. Lastly, if you are still using the stock CF chip, that is hurting you a lot. Hope this helps.

 

did it all and the cam is for mid to uppper range power but did not think that would hut that much. the computer is stock which I know is junk. guess I will just have to floor it when taking off from a stop. what a shame lol thanks for the info

 

could also be a fuel issue.. i know that my problem right now.. clean fuel filter?? how old is the fuel pump?? ( my problems is both of those) the stock chip is part of it im sure but just keep in mind there are other things to check as well....

 

orginal fuel pump going to change it to a higher volumn one in hte future. the rest is new

 

Stock torque converter and rear end gears? Put some 3.73's in the rear that'd probably take care of some of that.
