fuel pressure woes
Ok, so here's my problem....I have my 350 tbi installed with 65# injectors. At first I was running the vafpr with the spring that came with it(the stiff one) and it seemed to run fine at cruising and wot speeds. My air/fuel ratio gauge said i was running a little rich at wot and stoich while cruising. However, at an idle the car would run so lean the gauge wouldn't even register and a ses code would come up that said lean exhaust. Also, the car would stumble at idle but not stall out, it seemed to catch itself. I tried unhooking the vacuum line and it ran extremley rich, it smoked at idle for a few minutes but then ran at the borderline of rich. I put the stock regulator back on and I have a similar problem, it runs fine at wot and cruising but sometimes at an idle it runs lean and throws a ses code. How can i fix this? I'm thinking of maybe running the vacuum delay valve or maybe just turning the pressure up on the vafpr. What bugs me is that if the stock spring is so stiff then why am I running lean at idle? Any ideas?
