New Motor?

Hey guys im new to Thirdgen.org and i just recently (in the past 2 weeks) bought my first third gen, a 92 RS, well i was out giving it an oil change when i did some exploring under the car and noticed that the botom of the block was blue and that there was a piece of metal attached to it so me and my friend pulled it off and it read "Advance Automotive Industries Inc"
with a part number of 4079 and a serial number of 24346-A-22
i looked on the web and couldnt find anything about this place so if anyone could tell me what it means or give me info about the company that would be great cause i dontknow if i have a rebuilt block or not?

Look for a casting number on the block and than you will know if it is a 305 or something else. You can compair that number to GM casting numbers and find out exactly what you have. Same goes for the heads.

If it is a rebuilt motor from any auto parts store get it out of there. Some of these places actualy have motors that have differnt pistons and bore sizes in them. Not to mention the novice doing the assembly.
