454 TB Q's
454 TB Q's
what is the round metal vac canister on my above for? i assume it provides idle control as it is affecting the throttle position by vacuum. this TB is not yet installed. my prior cross fire dual TB were controlled by the ecu and IAC (1984) only. why would the 1995 454 TB not control idle same way? it does have an IAC however.
Also, where can i get the harness side TPS conncetor and the IAC connector to splice on my existing wire harness? I would assume salvage yard but does GM offer without complete harness? I would assume they break occasionally from heat and need replacement?

As far as connectors for the tb you should be able to pick some up at your local Chevy dealer. If not at least order them.

you can get TPS and IAC and MAP pigtails from pretty much any auto parts stores, look in the wiring section. I know for sure Pep Boys, and Autozone have em, and I've seen them at others as well.
i just recd shipment of the 1995 chev dual TB for 7.4 L. my existing 1984 (2) single TB set up has idle controled by ecm. 1984 uses IAC as does the dual TB. it appears the throttle stop on this unit(dual TB) has what i would call a vac operated assist. i believe a vac hose attaches to the diaphragm(green). it would appear i would not use it at all? it will need to serve as a throttle stop however. the hex screw on it i will assume will serve as throttle stop and is adjustable but unit will not function as designed?
