Ignition suggestion

The headers will be here anyday now and i know i need 90* wires. These are what im looking at tay-60651
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=TAY%2D60651

Should i do coil and caps and all the other stuff while im at it? I was thinking this if the answer is yes. SUM-850009
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=SUM%2D850009

What plugs should i get?

anything else i should look into?

thanks once again,

If you have the money, MSD 8.5s are pretty nice. You can get the custom kit with all 90* boots, but I wanna say it runs around $80. I use the Accel 8.8s. They run around $60 a set, but I have yet to burn through any, even with the wires almost sitting on the headers. Though not the best wire, they will last a while, and the boots are nice as well.

I run the accel header plugs. Once again, not the best out there, but they do make it a ton easier because they are shorter in design. They are also not too expensive, around $25 for a set of 8. From what I have heard, the NGKs are the best.

That coil will not work if you plan on keeping your current distributor and spark advance. Look into a dual connector coil. Both Hypertech and MSD make them. The MSD one is right around $50. But your stock coil is fine unless you plan on reving over 5,000 rpm.

Changing the cap and rotor is always a good idea as well if your gonna be changing out everything else

well, i'll have about a grand into my exhaust and from what i've been reading my ignition isnt too bad. Is Taylor a good brand? better than stock? Thanks for telling me about the coil, I never take it past 5500 anyway, so im not going to invest too much into that at the time. What are the AC plugs that everyone buys?

thanks again,

Just stick with plain old AC delco's. I wasted a ton of money for some fancy Bosche Platimun +4's and they foulded out pretty quick. If you want the satisfaction of a little better plug you can go with the Rapidfires. As for wires, anything is better than stock. MSD, Moroso, Taylor, Mallory are all good brands. Accell is also pretty good but I have heard just as mnay good stories as I have heard bad. Not consistane enough for me to drop a lot of money on something that may fail. The others seem to be reliable. I love my MSD wires. You might as well get a new cap and rotor while you are at it. They say not to mix and match brands.

like shifty said, stick with delco plugs. i would get taylor wires, i have had great luck with them, and they don't seem to get brittle like the MSD wires i have used have. if you get taylor, spend the few extra bucks and get he spiral core ones.
