Hey guys i just bought myself a very very nice dark teal 1991 rs its a beauty im going to get pics up asap anywho the guy i bought it from a good friend says it has a 5.7 and im confused cuase he knows what he is talking about he has a 8 second monte chasis car so im shure hes not confused is there anyway of telling if theres a 350 in there i checked the vin but for all i know it could be an engine swap its very clean in the engine bay so im confused if anyone can help by telling me ways i would know its a 350 i know he took the engine out cuase its got a few replacement parts anywho any help would be great it could be from a truck or a tpi block with a tbi on top woh knows anywho if you can just holler thanks

 

Look for the casting number on the block, it should be in back under the head. There is a flat pad it is stamped on. If and when you find the number just go to www.mortec.com and scroll about half way down and you will see links to sbc casting numbers.
