I took off the cat conveter, air tubes, and air pump off of my car is their any point in having a egr valve on my car now. im also getting a code 32

 

Keep the EGR. A code 32 is a faulty EGR. Did you plug the air tube holes on your exhaust manifolds? I assume you did so I will move on. EGR is one of those things that is actually good for your car. It helps with emissions, keeps the cylinders a bit cooler, and helps with gas mileage. It shuts off when you go WOT so it will not affect high rpm performance. Many guys just get rid of it to clean up their engine bays a bit. You get rid of it you need to properly re-set it in your prom to come on at a higher speed.

 

when is it set to come on. and i only get a code 32 if im drving 55 in over drive if i leave the car in drive and drive 55 i will not get the code

 

Well the EGR comes on at low speed and low engine load. GM cars are notorious for throwing the code 32 on the highway. I had the same problem on my 95 and WOT runs would make it stop throwing the code. I eventually just changes the valve and it went away. My guess is that your EGR valve is hanging open or closed and when you take it out of OD you run a little more rpm and change the vacuum which may give it that boost it needs to open or close.
