I need the vin for a lt1 and how long the pin lenth is on a lo3?

 

There is no VIN #. A VIN identifies the ins and outs of a car. Check out the sticky up top and look through all of the LT! cam stuff. You should find which one you are looking for there. The dowel pin on the stock cam is about .25" shorter than the ones found on LT1 cams. I cannot remeber the size off hand because I never really measure it when I had the cam out. I can get the exact measurement some time next week. Why do you want to know the dowel pin length on the stock cam?

 

To see if a car has an LT1, the 8th digit on the vin is a "P."

 

This is correct. Also it will have an LT1 RPO code. If you don't have any more TBI specific questions about the LO3 cam I can move this thread for you.
