Where to get Rebuild Kit?!

Hey guys I got a '89 TBI 305 RS today and I'm pretty sure the motor needs rebuilt. Where is the cheapest place to get a complete rebuild for it? It overheated on me on the way home and its not even home yet... I'll have to look at that too I guess!!

Are you sure that you need a rebuild? How many miles do you have on it?

Has about 160,000 on it. All I know is that it was running like crap before it died. I know that one of the thermostat bolts is broken off in the intake and its probably not sealing that thermostat. Would that cause it to overheat? It's sittin on the side of the road right now and I tried to start it about an hour ago, it got 10 feet and died. So I'm gonna wait til like 12 and see if I can get it the mile and a half to my house! Hey u have msn or aol shifty? I'd like to talk to ya about the car on there if possible.

Well a broken thermostat can cause over heating problems. Your car could be dead for numerous reasons though.
