Looks like a glorified open element. I can't see it producing significant gains over an open element. It does provide a great description of why the stock air cleaner assembly is junk.

The biggest air flow obstruction is the injectors but I do like the idea of the middle cone to help turn the air into the bores.

Good idea but I can see that cone attached to the top of the housing actually causing the air to become even more turbulant. I agree with Shifty though, just a glorified open element.
My $.02

Just may have to test it.

Manufacturer says it has a money back guarantee and no one has returned one in 11 years.

Wonder if that's because no one bought one ?

Im really not a fan of anything in front of the intlets to the tbi as the pod can really obstruct airflow. Velocity stacks are pretty much useless on a tbi. The best thing is just to let the air flow in and be sure to radius the entrances of the bores.

Another thing that bothered me was the fact taht they did teh testing on a carb, and not on a tbi. Bet the flow might change little or even go down with the aircleaner on a tbi.

I agree. Although similar, carb abd TBI seem alike but when testing air flow behavior they are completely diferent.
