What did yall use to heat up your TDS FPR??

What did yall use to heat up your TDS FPR??
OK, as far as I understand it, break off the security pin, and then heat up the spring housing so as to loosen the thread lock, but what did yall use to heat it up?
Also, when I was on the phone w/ Lon, he suggested that I loosen the spring housing before making adjustments on the torx screw. Do the rest of yall do this as well?

I didn't have to heat up mine to get it to turn. It was hard but I pushed in the torx driver very hard and slowly turned it. It eventally came loose. You may want to try and turn it in both directions. After you excersise it a bit it will screw freely.

I had to heat mine to soften the loctite on the set screw. I took the housing off so I wouldnt damage anything with the heat. I used a propane torch and carefully heated it while holding it in a vise. 250*-300* is enough.
