Idle to high...

I have a jet performance chip (Stage 2 PN: 18815-S). My car is a 1988 Chevy Camaro (305, TBI, manual, w/ac ). When I put the chip in along with a 160 deg. thermostat (I also have flowmaster exhaust, MSD distributor and coil, K&N intake (functional cowl hood)) my idle now will not drop from 2,000 rpms. It just sticks there all the way from cold to hot. My check engine light is now on also. I am not sure if this chip is supposed to raise the idle like that... Could it maybe be my idle control and not the chip. It seems to be fine with the stock chip in it (sometimes it does idle high but when it warms up in drops down). If you have any ideas I would really appreciate them, I have gotten some really got help in the past from everyone there. Thanks a lot

What codes does it set? Its possible that maybe its a bad chip or they didnt correctly know the locations of everything in the '8063 bin and they plowed over some stuff.
