Hood Clearance Question

I am installing the Edelbrock Performer TBI w/EGR intake on my L03 in the 92RS. I am also installing a non-drop base 14x3 open element. Will I have hood clearance issues with my stock RS hood?

Nope. Everything will fit fine. The intake is about .25" taller than stock and you still have more room for a taller open element. I run this intake with a 14x3 element and a .5" spacer and my hood shuts no problem.

Get a can of 'The Right Stuff' don't mess with trying to sue the front/rear gaskets, or using RTV.

Thats the great thing about the Edelbrock Performer TBI, it pretty much bolts right on. On mine I had to drill and tap a hole for the air conditioner brace or something. Read all the instructions first before you start.
Good luck with your installation. Dave

Yup I had to do the same thing. I did however run it without that bolt for about a year. But then I sheared the top bolt off into the head on the acessory bracket. Woops. It is a good idea to have that tapped before you put it on. The only other thing I had to do was bend the fuel lines a bit with a pair of channel locks.
