350 TBI & bolt ons. how much HP & TQ?

Ok, I'm wondering how much power can be made w/ a mild TBI 350.
Can I hear some opinions and experience? How much RWHP or RWTQ?

What I'm thinking:
350 TBI w/ iron heads.
medium cam
454 2bl TBI
Performer RPM manifold (or similar?)
adaptor plate
exhaust & headers
cold air induction
simple bolt ons
self tuning ( or custom chip).

how much power and torque can be made with similar setups? I'm thinking along the lines of iron heads from an '84 corvette or maybe late model vortec w/ a different manifold. I'm not sure about cam selection but 1500-6500RPM range is ideal. Definately want some low and mid range torque but dont want it to fall on its face up top. 454 truck tbi is nice w/ bigger injectors and bores. is the performer RPM a good choice? any other suggestions? which ones to stay away from for low performance or known to kill the low end? Are single planes good for TBI?
A good semi streetable cam is desired, idle doesn't have to be smooth but low-mid-high rpm power is ideal (of course), not necessarily a top end screamer. this would not be a daily driver and would be used in a manual transmission car with intent to use in auto-x and open track days (road course)

budget is a priority and i'm thinking of using an engine from an '84 cross fire vette.

thanks!

I'd say if you used Vortecs as you suggested, a decent cam, and good chip tuning you could hit mid 300's easy.

I would go right for a set of vortec heads along with a dual plane perfpormer vortec intake an adapter plate. You are going to need larger injectors and a lot of chip tuning but you can see past the 300 hp and 400lb ft if done right. As for cam it is up to you. If you leave the vortec heads untouched you will want to stay below .480" lift. I would look at an used LT1 cam. That would be a good cam to tune and have it run really smooth. If it were me I would go bigger on the cam but only if I had the heads prepped for it. Your biggest challange will be burning a new chip to dial it all in.
