TBI for Dummies & 305 info

well now finaly found my way here it seems...just wana say hello all..lm a newb here and still learning where TBI is concerned but have been on a crash course here bringing myself up to speed here after havein TBI for the last 9 years...awsome set up...who ever developed the intake should be shot though...anyway to make long story short decided to finaly get back into doing my own auto work as theres to many shoemakers out there tryin to pass them selfs of a mechanics and since l could do a better job in mah sleep than some of these guys...old adgage you want something done right ya gotta do it yerself......

B. k was wandering and doing some reasearch and found my way in here..great site btw....anyway was a fella here haveing probs with a knock sensor error and couldnt figure it out..decide to drop by and see ifin l can be of some help...SENSOR ERRORS CAN BE CAUSED BY WEAK TIMEING CHAINS OR THE MECAHANICAL TIMEING GEAR SET UP...THESE CAN DRIVE YER PUTURE AND YOU BATTY TRYIN TO FIGURE OUT WHY...LOOK TO YER TIMEING CHAIN!!!......any way imagine the moderators will know of the
post...pass a link to this post to him as l think this is his problem re KNock sensor errors .....the Critter has landed.........

Oh no! Not the 400hp 305 link. That is an old article that has some good and bad to it. It has some really good backround info as far as TBI and 305 set-ups are concerend but his "stacking hp" attempts are fruity at best. Many of us here have done the mods he goes into detail about. We are no where near his suggested outputs.

Anywhoo, welcome to the excting world of TBI! I will try to find that post about the knock sensor and put a link in for ya.

srry boss..have been goin non stop for last 4 days..have been eatiing up every and anything about TBI's to git back up to speed on the system..anyway found that info helped build a foundation to learn more...l can only be thankfull that TBI isnt that complicated..just gotta know in which direction to head and feel l'll find all l need here ..found the post re knocking and passed the info on ...didnt think ld find it again,,thanx

Welcome aboard man! Yeah, that article has a lot of good background info on TBI just like Shifty said but that's about it. TBI is really a strong & reliable setup. Horsepower gains aren't that drastic with some mods & can be a little frustrating at first. But stick around & you'll soon learn alot. Happy tuning

that link isnt old - ITS ANCIENT....!

but it does have some accurate good info so i wont dog it too long... just take what you read there, compare it to what you search for here and you'll be good.
