mechanical fuelpump on 91 TbI engine

Hello,
Ive bought an 305 rollercam block out of an 91 rs to replace my worn out L69 engine.
I want to place some of the original L69 parts on the new TBI block like the intake with quadrajet, dual snorkel air cleaner and the exhaust.
Now i want to know if its possible to place my mech. fuelpump on the 91 block and if the stock cam has an fuelpump-lobe on it because my car doesn´t have an in-tank pump (anymore).
Does anyone know if this is possible and does this combo increase the stock 170 HP a little?
Greetings from Holland!

You can't really use a mechanical pump on any fuel injection system. Although carb pressures run similar to TBI's in the fact that they are based on low PSI outputs, you will still need more than your average mech pump can produce. You will want at a minimum 13psi. I doubt you will see many gains by using the parts you have selested. The only thing good about those parts are the heads. They can be ported and prepped to be real performers on these cars. The stock cam has a fuel pump lobe by the way. I would replace the cam as long as you have the motor apart. If you do go carb than you can use a mechanical fuel pump and just take off the blocking plate that is n the block now. Whatch out for LT4 cams or other Gen 11 cams because they do not have fuel pump lobes.
