Got my Stuff
My stuff has arrived!! "and the crowd rejoices"
I recieved my Lt1 Cam, TPI Heads (bought from a junk yard, rebuilt by a performance shop here in town), my chip burning equipment finally arived (2 months....not bad timing) and my ALDL cable from ebay.
I already have my intake and exhaust opened up. Got a Mr Gasket chrome open air element with a K&N filter on it for optimum air flow up top. As for the exhaust I got Headman headers, hiflow Magnaflow cat and a magnaflow exhaust all running off of 3" mandrel bent pipes.
Now...I know that the moment I have the new toys installed "heads and cam" that my car is gonna run like a bag of crap due to the stock tune. What I am wondering is what approach should I take. Install hardware and start datalogging afterwards and then burn an IC depending on the results from the datalog or is there another aproach that you would recomend? Keep in mind...the car is still the stock tune from factory.

you might get used to tuning with what you have first, everything you learn now, will make turning the cam easier.
