Why do you want to convert TPI to TBI?

I am switching to a 454 dart iron eagle for my firebird, l98 is going in my beastly 260K suburban. So I just wanted to know if I was going to hav eto keep those crappy l05 swirl ports the suburban has now.

Everything will bolt up to the l98 just as it did on the l05. If you do nothing else to the engine and keep it stock you should be ok. Might have to adjust the fp a little. If you have a way to data log once the engine is in and running, you will know how much tuning if any you will have to do.

The L98 shortblock is a nice match for TBI. You will have much better heads and a much nicer cam. Everything will bolt right up as steve mentioned. You may want to look into a little chip work to take advantage of everything.
