if you look at hiemholtz resonater I think it is called it shows a little bit as t owhy something like that can cause a little power increase
granted nothing major but little help
as far as the little grovs
I call BS on that helping much if any
I wasn't interested in buying one but I'd like to some dyno comparisons between the different ones on the market. You know, do they really work, which one works best, is it worth the money? That kind of comparison. Maybe CarCraft can do one on Elwood the 350 tbi truck that they just did. Say start with a comparison of tb spacers then different intakes then a 454tb on a single plane intake with some good chip tuning of course. Would be interesting to see what they could do.

My dad put the helix tower or whatever on his truck awhiel back. From my experiance with spacers you really see no gain in hp but in torque. WE definately got a few more ftlbs of torque off the trucks one.

TBI spacers,
this has come up lots before. These will make your motor feel more responsive (powerfull) due to the increased intake velocity through the bores. But they can't increase WOT power.

but the changes can be done through one of two different things
if you use an open space then you just increased plenum volume which would help out a little more on the upper end
though with the closed spacer not sure on that one
least if you are looking at the whole intake charge tuning with the helmholtz shiz

Anyone who knows GM tbi's, knows that there restrictive, so at WOT these spacers just add to the restrictive bores, thus creating a larger pressure drop into the intake.

Spacers for TBI systems do not work as effetively as they do for carbs. The only difference I saw when I put my .5" spacer on was a lighter wallet and a modified throttle bracket. They do increase the plenum volume a touch that can make your car "feel faster" off throttle, but once the engine is at WOT and under 100% load there will be no difference. The only reason why I still run mine is because I am too lazy to spend another 20 bucks on an open element that will clear my disy.
